The Opening Ceremonies were lots of fun. A bagpiper piped all the teams onto the ice. We had two local girlscouts, who were sisters, carrying our California flag. They were super sweet. Local government officials and dignitaries spoke and a barbershop quartet sang the national anthem. Then each of the Skips introduced their teams and we were presented with Club National pins. Very exciting.
When I introduced our team I said.... "We are from California, representing the Hollywood Curling Club... and I am Angelina Jolie. Ok - not really but it made you all look." It got a laugh and we got lots of comments afterwards from the other teams who thought it was funny.
